Arts Council England and London 2012 today announce that over £400,000 of funding has been awarded to 10 commissions for the first round of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad project Unlimited. Unlimited will celebrate disability, arts, culture and sport on an unprecedented scale and is set to transform the disability arts movement in the UK.

Actor James Purefoy hits cinema screens this Friday as sword wielding puritan hero ‘Solomon Kane’ but last night (16 February) he surprised theatre-goers at London’s Soho Theatre by manning the box office. He was there to help celebrate A Night Less Ordinary – a scheme which is giving away more than half a million free theatre tickets to under 26 year olds in 200 theatres across England.
